Three people, including two children, were killed on Saturday night in the Kamara area of Kuresoi North, Nakuru County after a bus carrying them was struck head-on by a lorry and a private automobile.
Police who responded to the accident told the media that the accident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. This happened at Total Trading Centre and was brought on by an Eldoret-bound bus that lost control and collided with an approaching saloon car, reports indicated.

The collision caused injuries to the passengers on board another bus traveling to Nakuru. 54 individuals with injuries of various degrees of seriousness were transferred to the Molo Sub-county and Londiani hospitals for treatment. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the morgue at the Molo Sub County Hospital for an autopsy, and the mangled remains of the tragic cars were hauled to the Mau Summit Police Station.
Kuresoi North Sub County Police Commander Judah Gathenge, in a statement, said that As the bus climbed a slope, mechanical problems developed. Before rolling over and hitting into a personal vehicle, it went into the lane of oncoming traffic and collided with a trailer head-on.
