54-year-old actor Matthew Perry from Friends has sadly passed away. His assistant discovered him non-responsive in his jacuzzi at his Hollywood home.
According to local media reports, the actor, who rose to fame in ten seasons of the famous US comedy Friends as funnyman Chandler Bing, drowned at home in Los Angeles. Reports state that no drugs were discovered at his Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, home and at the moment, there is no suspicion of foul play.
The actor openly battled drinking and the abuse of painkillers; in a 2016 interview, he claimed he could not remember recording at least three seasons of the hugely successful show that ran from 1994 to 2004. The Friends star claimed in his autobiography, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, that he was fighting for his life following a colon rupture brought on by the opioid OxyContin. Perry claimed that during the procedure, his heart stopped beating.
