New plot twist as Sophie Turner sues Joe Jonas. In a lawsuit filed in a Manhattan court on Thursday, Sophie is asking for her kids Willa and her younger daughter identified as D in previous court documents to be returned to England.
Sophie’s legal team asserts that “wrongful retention” of the kids began on September 20th and calls for the return of wrongfully removed children in her complaint against her estranged husband.
The Game of Thrones alum claims that she and the musician agreed to declare England their forever home back in December 2022 as they prepared for the year ahead. The couple was in the process of buying a home in England and had already sold their Miami home.
According to the documents, the couple agreed to let the kids stay with Joe since he had more available hours during the day while Sophie filmed in her new show back in Spain called Joan. Noting she had hesitation around the arrangements.
Turner claims that the breakdown of their marriage happened suddenly after an argument they had on August 15 before Joe filed for a divorce on September 5th. Turner adds that she learned about their divorce through the media days later.
Two weeks after Joe filed for a divorce, the two met to plan the next steps. Sophie reiterated her plans to move to England and Joe had a change of heart. According to the documents Joe is in possession of the children’s passports and refuses to give them to Sophie.
Jonas’ attorney confirmed to Turner’s legal team that his client would not be returning the children’s passports and would not provide the consent needed for their children to move. Joe responded to the allegations made through his lawyer.

According to Joe’s lawyers, Sophie knew that Joe was going to file for a divorce and was served with the papers on September 6th. They added that the court entered an order that restricts both parents from relocating the children.
According to Joe, he thought that they would agree to an amicable co-parenting setup. However, Sophie advised that she wanted to move the children permanently to the UK, and if Joe would comply he would be violating the previous court orders.
