Kenya never falls short of laughs and drama. Stories of fans doing the most outrageous things for clout keep on getting surpassed every time. Just when you thought, you’ve seen it all, someone decides to go all out.
That’s the case for a Murang’a lady who tattooed Mike Sonko on her thighs.
Maryanne Njoki, the lady who took the internet by storm, when she shared the tattoo she had gotten a tattoo of the former Governor, Mike Sonko. She appears to have made the decision to alter her body while sober and confirmed it wasn’t a dare either.
Maryanne claims she drew the tattoo on her thighs out of love and appreciation for Mike Sonko. In her view, it was the best way to show her love for Sonko who she believes has relentlessly supported the less fortunate in society.

The mother of two shared that she also has other tattoos on her body, including that of her children. Maryanne spent Ksh 5,000 to get the Sonko tattoo on her thigh. Kenyans would argue that is a waste of money but if Sonko takes notice of her, then it would turn into an investment.
She shares that her goal was not to clout chase, seek fame or even get Mike Sonko’s attention. In fact, she said that it was her tattoo artist who requested her to post the body art on her social platforms.
However, Maryanne would still like to meet the former governor to thank him personally for the good work he has done, and shares she’d like to hug him.
Mike Sonko who is always at the forefront of such instances, is yet to react. Probably now that Maryanne has made her tattoo public, he just might arrange for a meet and greet.
