Mac Allister’s red overturned
The Argentina midfielder aged 24, was sent off and suspended for three matches after he fouled Ryan Christie’s foot in the 58th minute at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp said the referee’s decision was “harsh” and once the Reds appealed and the Football Association’s Independent Regulatory Commission removed the suspension.

“An independent regulatory commission has removed Alexis Mac Allister’s three-match suspension following a claim of wrongful dismissal,” the FA said.
Injured Mason Mount set to miss the next two games
Mount is expected to be out until after the international break because of a “small complaint” sustained in last weekend’s 2-0 defeat by Tottenham.
This has led midfielder Mason Mount to miss the club’s next two Premier League matches with injury.

It is a blow for Mount who joined United from Chelsea in June in a deal worth an initial £55m.

However, Erik ten Hag’s side will host Nottingham Forest on Saturday before travelling to Arsenal on 3 September.
England international Mount, 24, is also a doubt for the Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine on 9 September.
Jeremy Doku to join Man City from Rennes for £55.4m
Manchester City came to an agreement to sign Belgium winger Jeremy Doku from Rennes in a deal worth £55.4m.
Jeremy Doku aged 21-year-old has scored 12 goals in 92 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.

Doku joins the list of summer signing Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for £25m and Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig for £77m.
He was expected to travel to Manchester on Tuesday to undergo a medical before the 65m euros transfer is completed.
West Ham, Tottenham and Chelsea were also said to be interested in signing Doku.
