Euphoria Actor Angus Cloud Dies at 25

Euphoria Actor Angus Cloud is dead at the age of 25. Angus Cloud played Fesco in the HBO award-winning series, Euphoria. He was the lead actor for the first two seasons. Angus Cloud died in his family home in Oakland, California on July 31.

Cloud’s family shared a statement with NBC News. The family revealed that Angus was special to them. They added that he was intensely struggling with the loss of his father, whom they buried last week.

It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

The went on to share that Angus was struggling with his mental health. The family hopes that his passing will be a reminder to many struggling with mental health. That they are not alone and that they should not fight mental health in silence and solace.

Despite their heartfelt message, Angus Cloud’s cause of death was not disclosed by his family.

Angus rose to fame when he got a role on Euphoria. Euphoria cast and fans alike have paid tribute to Angus Cloud. Javan Walten, who plays Cloud’s adoptive brother, Ash Tray, mourned the late actor via an Instagram post. Javan shared a picture of him and Angus on his Instagram story, captioned “Forever family.”

Storm Reid shared a snippet from the Euphoria series. The clip shows Fesco with a text reading, “The tears just won’t stop.” Euphoria’s executive producer, and rapper, Drake also paid tribute. Drake wrote, “Angus was a good soul,” in his Instagram story.

Euphoria’s creator, Sam Levinson, shared that,

“There was none quite like Angus. He was too special. Too talented and way too young to leave us so soon.”

Sam Levinson also added that, Angus struggled with depression and addiction. He hopes that Angus would somehow realize how many hearts he touched. Sam shared how much he loved Angus Cloud.

A statement posted on Euphoria’s and HBO’s Instagram account reads,

“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friend and family during this difficult time.”
