Tiger Woods: Golfer’s Ex-Girlfriend Drops Lawsuit Against Him

The ex-girlfriend of Tiger Woods, Erica Herman, has withdrawn her $30 million claim against the golfer’s estate.

The suit, filed in October of last year, claimed that an estate owned by Tiger Woods had broken an oral lease agreement and violated the Florida Residential Landlord Tenant Act. The estate is said to have wrongfully evicted 39-year-old Erica Herman from Woods’ $57 million mansion in 2017. Erica Herman claimed that Tiger Woods had promised her an 11-year residence in the house but his trust evicted her after living there for just 5 years.

According to the lawsuit, “agents of the Defendant (Tiger Woods and his estate)” allegedly instructed Herman to “pack a suitcase for a short vacation” before telling her she had been locked out of the residence when she arrived at the airport. Erica Herman said in her lawsuit that the actions caused her emotional distress and sought damages because they were done with ‘premeditation’.

The couple disagreed on several issues in the court documents including the timing of their relationship. Herman made his first appearance in the public eye beside Woods at the Presidents Cup event at Liberty National Golf Club in the fall of 2017. She stood by his side at major moments of Woods’ career. She was in attendance for both his 2019 Masters victory and the previous year’s Presidential Medal of Freedom presentation by President Donald Trump.
