Despite being nearly two years behind schedule, Tesla has announced that the first production Cybertruck electric pickup has now left the assembly line.
In a tweet that was reshared by Tesla boss, Elon Musk, the company announced that the first Cybertruck was built at Giga Texas, and showed the already assembled vehicle. Although Tesla had previously stated that manufacturing would start gradually and in fewer numbers than Tesla’s other vehicles, Musk introduced the truck in late 2019 and had previously stated that it would start production in late 2021.

The Cybertruck appears nothing like a conventional pickup truck as it has a wedge-shaped body and stainless-steel exoskeleton, according to Tesla. It has been regarded by some analysts as a niche product with limited market appeal.
Initially, Tesla announced that it would produce three variations of the vehicle, with prices ranging from roughly $40,000 to $70,000 but later the company removed the prices from their page which allows customers to spend as low as $100 on an order.
