PSV Fares to Increase by 30% Amid Fuel Price Hike

The Public Service Vehicles (PSV) will implement a 30% increase in fares in response to last week’s rise in fuel prices by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

The move aims to provide some relief to transport sector investors associated with the Matatu Owners Association.

Following EPRA’s announcement of increased fuel prices, petrol now stands at Sh195 per liter, up from Sh179. In light of this development, Albert Karakacha, Chairman of the Matatu Owners Association, highlighted the need for fare adjustments to support the transportation industry and its stakeholders.
