Nikita Kering has been dropping hit after hit ever since she was noticed when she was still in school. The young singer even got recognized by Rihanna and was the Kenyan face of Fenty Beauty when it launched in Kenya.
Khaligraph Jones on the other hand had been making music for years and going unnoticed before he finally made it to airwaves. The Kenyan rapper unlike other rappers is known to live a drug free life at least not on camera and uses very safe words in his daily talk and music.
DNA took to his socials to share the criteria as to why other Kenyan artists with more engagement and who have released hit songs did not get the Coke studio opportunity. He shares that Wakadinali could not the opportunity even though they seem fit for it because of their brand that shows them using drugs. He mentioned that probably Otile Brown might have been too expensive for them.
He goes ahead to share that Khaligraph and Nikita match the brand image that works for them since they target a family unit. He shares that both artists do not have public scandals like many other Kenyan artists and are not seen using drugs at least not on camera. He goes ahead to apologize to Willy Paul who felt left out by Coke Studio and says life is not fair. Subscribe to our YouTube channel: Switch TV
