China’s luxury SUVs have found a promising avenue in Mexico’s auto market in a stride towards achieving new territories.
Leading Chinese car brand, Cherry, has made an impressive foray into North America and has now set its sights on Mexico after a successful launch last year. The sales have been so powerful that the company is now rolling out its premium line, Ada, mirroring the strategy of Toyota’s Lexus and Volkswagen’s Audi.
Brian Wu, the executive vice president of Cherry, spearheaded the brand’s introduction in Mexico City. He believes that the Mexican customer profile differs between Cherry and Ada, thus prompting the decision to create a separate premium line. This move aims to provide enhanced services and products, with a sharp focus on cutting-edge technology and unique designs.

Automotive journalist Alfredo Shabbat anticipates a significant impact from the brand in the Mexican market, asserting that potential buyers are increasingly interested in the technological offerings that can simplify their lives.
Ada’s competitive pricing, coupled with the latest in automotive technology, is a recipe for success in this receptive market.
