Taking to her social media pages, Britney Spears said that she had put a lot of work into the book and hoped that her fans would like the output.
The memoir is set to be released on October 24 this year and is expected to detail the musician’s life as a pop star and how she became a household name in the industry. In a press release, Gallery Books announced that the singer’s memoir will be a ‘brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope’.
The memoir release comes after Britney Spears survived a court-ordered conservatorship that had been in effect for over 13 years. After Spears strongly pleaded with a Los Angeles judge to overturn the agreement in open testimony in June 2021, the conservatorship was ultimately terminated on November 21, 2021.
The conservatorship raised concerns among her fans, with speculations flying all over social media as to the singer’s background. Britney Spears takes back her story and tells it through her own experience in her upcoming memoir. She says that she is happy to tell her story, on her own terms, at last.
