The truth of this statement lies in one fact, that men are simple creatures and a paradox. Their complexities lie in their simplicity. Hence why, what most women say is true. You cannot change a man.
The truth of the matter has always been that, compared to women, men love the hardest. While women are best at conveying their emotions, men thrive in acting them out. Making women a more vocal gender. However, what most women forget that actions speak louder than words. Understanding that men speak through actions is the key to decoding their language. Majorly, problems sets in when women settle for men that are not in love with them.

If you constantly find yourself in the lamenting end of the relationship, then you are simply forcing things.
A deeper look into things will also reveal to us one thing. Compared to men, women make very stupid decisions for love. Men make bold ones. There is a very thin line between the two. Boldness is also strength and depth in clarity. Bold choices build a solid foundation for a successful relationship. If a man has you in a position of wanting to do things to prove your love to them? Run sister! Keep one thing in mind, a man should have you reciprocating 90% of the time. The only instances you are allowed to initiate things 100% of the time, is in the bedroom.
Having all this in mind, it is wise to understand that men also feel. In most cases, their feelings could even be more intense than that of women. Loving a man is not enough to make him love you. If you want to change a man, find one that loves you as well.
