The Idol: The New TV Series For The Overly Sexualised World

The HBO TV series, The Idol got a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival that happened this May. From the creators of Euphoria, Sam Levison, who called the series “revolutionary”, Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tsefaye and Reza Fahim.

The official trailer is already out after numerous teasers that left many anticipating its release date. The casting of the series is perfect starring Lily-Rose Depp and Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tsefaye. Also starring Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, Da’Vine, Joy Randolph, Eli Roth, Hari Nef, Jane Adams, Jenie Rubu Jane, Mike Dean, Moses Sumney, Rachel Sennot and Hank Azaria.

The storyline is about a musician named Jocelyn (Lily) who wants to be the sexiest and greatest pop star after being derailed by a nervous breakdown. She is able to re-ignite her purpose when she meets Tedros (Abel) a modern cult leader who is a night club impresario.
