Nominated senator, Karen Nyamu left her fans worried after a picture of her with a black eye surfaced. Fans speculate that she got the black eye from her baby daddy to two of her kids, mugithi singer Samidoh. This picture surfaced a week after Karen bought Samidoh a Louis XIII, which is a brandy by Remy Martin valued at Ksh 420000.
She then took to her social media page, posting a video saying that no one has hit her. She said she is not trying to clear the air on her having a black eye because nobody hit her. She then mentioned that since the last time she experienced Gender-based violence, she has not experienced it again and she was using the video to address it because it is a serious matter.
People are making fun of gender based violence thinking that they can use it to settle scores. I am here to raise awareness about GBV and to emphasize that it is not something to be joked about. If I ever experience that, I will come forward and seek justice.

Samidoh and Karen Nyamu have been in the spotlight before over their controversial relationship. Samidoh having been married to his wife, Edday and still being seen with Karen has raised concerns over their relationship. Karen shared last month that she has come to terms with Edday Nderitu being the stepmom to her kids.
There were videos of Karen and Samidoh together when his wife Edday was away abroad. Bloggers and fans speculated that they were together at his matrimonial home. Fans have also shared their concerns about how Edday feels having seen Karen shower Samidoh with alcohol worth half a million Kenyan shillings.

Karen has shared that she has a strained relationship with her first baby daddy, DJ Saint Kevin, who is the father of her eldest daughter. She also came out earlier last month and said she is Karen wa Samidoh and she is not ashamed. She also shared that she is open to having another baby with him because their two children, Wairimu and Sammy Jr resemble their father.
