Hundreds of Pastor Ezekiel Odero followers have sparking a massive protest outside the Shanzu Law Courts in Mombasa court to show their support for him. He was expected to be appear in the court on Tuesday, May 2.
All this began when police officers arrested Pastor Ezekiel Odero on charges of being connected with the Shakahola Massacre and other related offenses.

During his appearance in court, his followers started to protest outside of Shanzu court. They chanted slogans and demanded the pastor’s release, insisting that the charges against him were false and politically motivated.
During the protest, Gillack was observed commanding the large crowd to sing, and they would occasionally switch to a prayerful session.
He then encouraged the crowd to praise God, and then rallied them to continue with their march. He was dressed in all white, which is the signature attire of his older brother, and urged his followers to prepare for a significant revival.
“Can I hear from those who are ready for the mega revival?” he asked, which was met with a deafening acclamation from Ezekiel’s followers.
The protest continued with the pastor’s followers refusing to disperse until he was released. They accused the authorities of targeting him because of his outspoken views and criticized the government for what they perceived as a crackdown on religious leaders who spoke out against the government.

The preacher, who has a significant following, was questioned by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) over allegations of indoctrination of members, a day before his arrest.
This arrest coincided with the discovery of bodies at Shakahola forest in Kilifi, which has shocked the country.
As the investigation continued, the number of victims associated with a suspected starvation cult, led by Pastor Paul Mackenzie, rose to 98 on Wednesday. Distraught family members anxiously awaited news of their loved ones as investigators uncovered mass graves last week.
