Sauti Sol is breaking up after 18 years of great music, hits, and shows.
The end of Sol Fest is fast approaching. The greatest boy band in Africa has fallen and fans can only remain singing ‘Inauma’ as they lament and try to soothe their aching music souls. Africa’s pride is no more. Memes of Bien flying as the rest walk continue to go viral.
In 2021 October, the group announced a solo project that saw each of the four artists show their skill in the music industry. Is it still going to be ‘alone-together’ or is every man with his fate?
Many will continue speculating on whether the solo project served as a part of the healing process or simply as a test run after the math of break up.
Kibe went ahead to share his thought on a TikTok video, where he raised concern as he blamed the women in their lives for the sudden band break up.
“We didn’t like you for your individual careers. Sauti sol is no more!” Kibe dramatically declared.

Kibe also went ahead to warn the famous Wakadinali hip hop band, who have raised the bars in the genre not to allow the group to fall.
The sudden announcement of Sauti Sol breaking has raised a lot of questions on the survival of the artists on individual work.
The group have already worked on Solo project with Bien’s latest song called ‘Too Easy’, Chimano’s on the ‘Friday Feeling’, Savara’s latest song called ‘Reggae ya Kinyozi, and Polycarp’s on ‘Rhumba Toto’ amongst other music collaborations they have individual has been part of.
Sauti Sol will be releasing their last album together this year before finally taking their official solo music journey.
“Hii maisha ni safari, tunapita kama moshi na kabla tuzame mchangani kuna kufeli na kushinda….” Sauti sol sung in their album Midnight train. Someone must have seen it coming!
Did they make the right move? Well, that’s for you to judge but we will surely know the tree by the taste of its fruit.
