Kenyans trust facts! That with the over 20 million Kenyans with Gmail accounts only 4 Kenyan artists have over one million subscribers. Do we really value our art and artists? Is it the lack of education on the importance of support.

Here are the four artists in Kenya with over one million subscribers.

  • Otile Brown – 1.3 million

Otile Brown is a singer, songwriter, the RnB artist has 1.3 million subscribers, with his most popular song being Dusuma featuring Meddy with 39 million views published 2 years ago.

  • Bahati – 1.18 million

Bahati is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has 1.18 million subscribers.
He is one of the most popular and successful artists in Kenya, and has won several awards, including the Groove Award for Song of the Year in 2015.

His most popular song is Adhiambo featuring Prince Indah with 22 million views published one year ago.

  • Willy Paul – 1.09 million

Willy Paul is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is one of the most popular and successful artists in Kenya.

He has a following of 1.09 million subscribers, while his popular song trends at 34 million views featuring Alaine six years ago.

  • Sauti Sol – 1.03 million

Sauti Sol is a Kenyan Afropop band formed in Nairobi in 2005 with Bien Baraza, Chimano, Savara, and Polycarp.

They have won numerous awards, including the MTV Africa Music Award for Best Group in 2015 and 2016, and the BET Award for Best International Act in 2017.

They have a following of 1.03 million subscribers on YouTube and their most popular song being Melanin with over 30 million views.
