Akothee’s wedding has caused a stir on the internet with everybody who was anybody in entertainment attending the star-studded event. It was a day to remember with celebrity guests who are close friends with Akothee gracing the event as well as opportunists and wedding crashers, looking to build on their social network and portfolio. With the wedding making headlines on many local news outlets, netizens were quick to react and give their views on some of the guests’ dress codes and fashion sense.
Here are some of the celebrities who topped the list of criticisms.
Eve Mungai
Eve Mungai was one of the guests invited to Akothee’s wedding. She graced her viewers with videos of Akothee’s wedding and pictures of the celebrity guest there. However, her choice of outfit did not impress a number of Kenyans who questioned her style of dressing. She wore a short pink dress that had flowers on the front. Many netizens were dissatisfied with what she wore. Mungai Eve apologized for the way she wore and blamed it on the late invitation to the wedding.
“Poleni wadau next time hope sitapata invitation card kwa gate. Sitawaangusha! In the meantime fikeni YouTube watch videos of the wedding.” Eve Mungai wrote.

Alex Mwakideu and Mariam Mwemba
The Radio Maisha radio host arrived at the wedding looking slick. His wife Mariam Mwemba accompanied Mwakideru who wore a white shirt with red stripes, complimented by a red coat and blue rugged jeans. He completed the look with brown sneakers as shoes. His wife wore an elegant long purple dress with a thigh-high slit.
The top of the dress was adorned with some ornaments. Netizens criticized Mwakideu for wearing jeans to a high-profile wedding like that.
While a number of KOT were critical of Mariam Mwemba, saying that revealing her thigh was not decent or classy, especially when she has a man.
Chris the Bass and his wife
Chris the bass went to the wedding with his wife. He wore a pink shirt with a blue coat and blue jeans. He finished the look with a pair of black shoes with ornaments. His wife wore a long blue dress with a thigh-high split.
Critics hit at Chris the Bass for wearing jeans while his wife was elegantly dressed, though she was equally questioned about the thigh-high slit on her dress.
Jalango and Amina Chao
Jalango and his wife Amina Chao dressed well for the event. Many netizens congratulated the two for dressing in style and showing class. Jalas wore a white shite with an orange print design on his neck and a pair of white trousers.
Amina wore a long orange sleeves dress that reached her feet. Many were impressed with what they wore however, people recognized that Jalango and his wife were part of the bridal party and their outfit was already picked out for them.
