President William Ruto has given out a strong warning to bandits who still believe that they have taken control of the North Rift region.
Speaking on Friday, March 10 at the Kenya Military Academy, Lanet in Nakuru county during the Officer Cadets Commissioning Parade, Ruto said that it is time to eliminate all kinds of insecurity in the country.
He outlined banditry and cattle rustling as some of the key criminal activities that the government has committed to putting to an end.

“We will strategically work smart as far as security is concerned to kick out bandits who are currently emerging in the North Rift region of Kenya”, President Ruto said.
In addition, the Head of State said that illegal guns must be surrendered to the government willingly, hence giving a chance to every child in the affected areas to go back to school.

The President also directed the military to work hand in hand with the Ministry of Education to reconstruct all the destroyed schools to allow the learning process to continue in schools.
He commended the Kenya Military Academy for employing the ultra-modern approach to training that has helped the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to respond to complex and evolving security issues.

The President also made a tour of the National Defence University-Kenya and inspected the ongoing construction of the proposed Lanet Regional Hospital in Lanet.
