Residents at Nyamakoroto village in Nyamira county were left in shock after the death of a couple who were found dead in their house on Tuesday, March 21.
Edward Morema Nyagechi, who resides in the US, was found lying dead near his car garage with deep cuts on his head while his hands and legs were tied with a binding wire.
His wife Grace Morema also was found later in the bedroom with deep cuts around her neck and tied up with a wire like a husband.
Masaba North Deputy Police Commander Robert Ndambiri confirmed the incident and stated that the two are believed to have been mistreated before being killed.
“It seems the criminals first arrested them, tied their hands then later blocked their mouths so that they could not scream seeking help,” Masaba North Deputy Police Commander Robert Ndambiri said.

Ndambiri added that they have started investigations into the incident and have already held in custody two employees, a maid, and a farm worker, who will provide full information.
Detectives from the Kisii Police station arrived at the place and moved the two bodies to Kisii Referral Hospital awaiting a post-mortem procedure.
