United States First Lady Jill Biden arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi for a three-day visit on Friday, February 24.
Jill Biden landed in the Executive Foxtrot Jumbo at JKIA terminal 2 on Friday afternoon and is currently on the third day of her five-day tour of Africa, marking her first visit to the country as First Lady.
The US President’s wife was received by Kenya’s First Lady Rachel Ruto and taken to the State House.

According to State House, Jill was invited to Kenya by Kenya’s First Lady as a follow-up to the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit held in December 2022, where she hosted a two-day program for Africa’s First Ladies.
While at State in Nairobi, the two First Ladies held a closed-door meeting before proceeding to the US Ambassador to Kenya’s residence.

Meanwhile, Jill Biden is scheduled to visit different projects in the country including Joyful Women’s Organization founded by First Lady Rachel Ruto which is operational in 39 counties at large.
The Organization promotes economic empowerment and financial support through the modern work output of table banking which convenes communities of women.
She will also visit the Shujaa Youth Empowerment and Hello Tractor and during this trip, she will also seek to address the ongoing crisis caused by the severe drought affecting the horn of Africa.
