Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has expressed his displeasure concerning Senator Gloria Orwoba’s conduct in parliament.
He complained that some leaders of the senate were acting immaturely and inappropriately in Parliament and as a result, tainting the reputation of the House of Public.
Yesterday Senator Gloria Orwoba was Kicked out of Parliament for inappropriate dressing after the senator wore a white pantsuit with a green shirt underneath.
However, her white pants were stained with a red substance which was confirmed to be blood as she was on her menstrual cycle.
Boni Khalwale said that they are aware of the problems and challenges women and girls face during their menstrual cycle but the way Senator Gloria Orwoba presented the issue was not honourable.
He further drove home his point by saying many Kenyans suffer various issues but do not present them the way she did.

“Speaker, do not allow this Senate to be defined by the immaturity and excitement of just a few potatoes. I saw you were pained about how you would speak on the issue of menstruation that was being conversed on the floor of the House.
“It should never happen again We know our girls are suffering because of the challenges of poverty due to menstruation, but at the same time, we also have Kenyans who are suffering because they don’t have toilets.
“So are you going to expect a male senator to come here having defecated on himself and walking on stools to show that people don’t have toilets? Would you tolerate him? You cannot,” Boni Khalwale said.
He continued to say that this action has put the Parliament in public shame making it a bad reputation.
“And let me tell some of these young senators, we will not allow you. We are not going to be demeaned collectively, we will call you out. We should not allow that collective embarrassment. If senator Orwoba wants to start a career in politics, she will have to do it differently,” He added.
