Eric Omondi recently lashed out at the Kenyan Gospel Music industry ad claimed a majority of them are hypocrites responsible for killing the gospel music industry.
The comedian touched a nerve after mentioning how gospel artist Guardian Angel stopped producing good music after he got married — to his current wife Esther Musila.
“Kenyan gospel music artists have all fallen, wakona scandals mingi than secular artists. Where is Daddy Owen, Jimmy Gait, Mercy Masika, Alice Kamande, Gloria Muliro, Eunice Njeri, Bahati, the gospel music industry was the identity of Kenyan music and they have all fallen. The gospel music industry has failed us,
“You have left the ministry, you have left God, you have left the church, you will never prosper, the failure of Kenya as a nation is upon you. You are now trending for gonorrhoea scandals, I want to give you a message from God that whatever you touch whatever you do will not prosper until you turn to God,” Eric Omondi said.
He also threatened to expose Gospel Artists who are allegedly in the LGBTQ+ community claiming they had turned Kenya into Sodom and Gomorrah.

Guardian Angel has confirmed seeing the video and said he will respond in time, however, his wife Esther Musila who has been indirectly attacked by Eric Omondi’s rant published a bible verse in her Instagram stories, likely aimed at the comedian, calling him a busybody who spreads negative assumptions of people.
“Scripture says that busybodies are idle people who are neglecting their work and go around looking for negative things in the people around them, often to share with others as gossip or to share with an authority figure to make themselves look better (2 Thess. 3:1 1-12; 1 Tim. 5:13)” Esther wrote.
The former Gospel artist turned secular artist Willy Paul said that Eric Omondi should continue chasing the bag, promising his fans that he will reveal the reason why he left the Gospel Music Industry. He also assured fans that his relationship with God is still intact.
“Of all your jokes this is the funniest bro.. keep chasing that bag!” “I will tell you why I left gospel music fam… My relationship with God is still intact though.” Willy Paul wrote.
