Eric Omondi and Obinna Fight in Heated Kiss Interview

Eric Omondi

Eric Omondi was invited to Kiss 100 to do an interview and as expected, things got fiery when Eric Omondi suddenly jumped Obinna after he questioned the comedian’s gender identity.

They continued arguing back and forth until they started questioning Eric Omondi’s outfit. Eric Omondi defended himself saying it was for showbiz but Obinna was not having it and asked Eric Omondi to come out of the closet since he was in a safe space.

“Listen Eric if you have a point to prove just come out this is a safe space, stop hiding in a hole and people already know you are out there. Just come out and tell people guys listen I am fluid or am like this or like that,” Obinna said before he was cut off by a pumped up Eric Omondi advancing on him, seething with anger.

In a fit of rage, Eric Omondi fiercely confronted Obinna over his flippant remarks about cross-dressing, launching himself towards the Kiss 100 presenter who was all too eager to trade blows with his fellow comedian in a wild scuffle.

The scuffle caught live on camera, ends with security detail trying to separate the two who both had their claws out and had clearly lost their cool, with Kwambox momentarily staring on in wild disbelief like a deer caught in the headlights.

It all started when Eric Omondi said that out of all African comedians, no one could be compared to him and that was why he was the self-proclaimed president of African comedy. Obinna then told Omondi that there were many African comedians who were more entertaining than him, naming himself as an example.

“Is there any comedian who can compare with Eric Omondi currently?” Kwamboxx asked. “Wengi sana wanakutandika. Mimi…Let’s just start with me.”Obinna responded.

Eric Omondi smirked at his statement and pointed out that Obinna is a radio presenter and not a comedian. Still, Obinna responded to this statement by saying that Eric Omondi gets shows in rural areas.

“I am an entertainer; I do all of them. It’s none of your business. You know you live on your high horse calling yourself the president of comedy. When was the last time you did a good comedy show in Kenya? You’re always being called for the ushago shows,” Obinna said.

Kwambox tried to cut the tension in the room by saying Eric Omondi was currently on tour, prompting Obinna to ask: “Wapi? On tour to Kiss?” Obinna sarcastically retorted.

Eric Omondi then rolled out his list of tours mentioning that he has been to 17 cities in Uganda alone, as sufficient evidence of his presidential status.

“I have been to 17 cities and towns in Uganda. It means that I am an actual president.” Eric Omondi said.
