President William Ruto has appointed Aden Noor Ali as the chairperson of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Board of Directors.
Previously, Ali a strong supporter of William Ruto vied unsuccessfully for the Mandera governorship on the August 9, 2022, general election.
Further, Aden Noor Ali also served as a member of the Transport Licensing Appeals Board.
His appointment, president Ruto canceled the appointment of Agnes Odhiambo by former president Uhuru Kenyatta in 2020.
He will serve for a term of 3 years effective from Friday, February 3, 2023, the Gazette Notice containing his appointment read a part.
The Head of State has on the other hand made other State and Board appointments including that of former Chief of Defence Forces Gen (Rtd) Samsom Mwathethe who will serve as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI).

Other prominent people appointed include Jane Lagat who was named as Chairperson of the Women Enterprise Fund Advisory Board, taking over from Wanjiku Kabira, Mzee Mwinyi Mzee was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Coast Development Authority after Philip Charo’s appointment was nullified.
Additionally, the president appointed other Five individuals to serve as members of the State Corporations Advisory Committee, for a term of 3 years. He canceled the appointment of Dennis Awori.
