United manager Erik Ten Haag was prompted to sign a goalkeeper after Newcastle United recalled Martin Dubravka, cutting short his loan period.
Butland has nine caps for England and has been with Newcastle since 2020 but has not featured this season. Butland, 29, has only played in 10 league games for Palace and hasn’t been a regular in the Premier League since Stoke City’s relegation in 2018.
As reported by BBC, United football director John Murtough said, “Jack is an excellent goalkeeper with great experience throughout his career. His mentality and personality will be a real asset to our superb group of goalkeepers and the whole squad.”
