Grade 6 KPSEA Exam Results Officially Announced

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Tuesday, January 17, announced the 2022 Grade 6 KPSEA exam results are accessible on the KNEC port.

Speaking at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) on January 17, Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu announced that the marking was complete and that the results would be available on the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) portal.

 “I am happy to announce that the exercise has already been completed and that schools will be able to access the reports through the KNEC portal as of Tuesday 17,” he said.

The CS on the other hand directed KNEC to collaborate with KICD and the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) to interpret the report for learners and parents.

CS Machogu also instructed KNEC to work with TSC and KICD, to give the government a report on the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) to inform ongoing curriculum reviews.

In addition, the CS said that all 1,253,577 candidates who sat for the 2022 KPSEA exam will join the Junior Secondary Schools.

The reporting date for Junior Secondary Schools learners will be on Monday, January 30, 2023.

School heads will be required to fill in data on the admission of learners to schools on the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) to enable monitoring of the students.

Machogu revealed that President William Ruto’s government set aside Ksh 9.6 billion in capitation- Ksh 15,000 for each student joining Grade 7 in public schools.

“This means that no school should charge any fees for any learners except those which have boarding wings,” the Cabinet Secretary directed.

How to check grade 6 results?

Schools will log into the KNEC portal and download the Grade 6 results. Learners and parents can then visit schools for the results.
