The Murang’a family appeals for help from the government and well-wishers to Bring Home the Body of their beloved Daughter Who Died in the Middle East.
Selipha Wairimu Muthoni left the country on October 2 last year, in order to look for greener pastures to provide for herself and her family as well.
According to her brother Felix Muriithi, her destination was at Ajman near Dubai in the United Arab Emirates-UAE in the Middle East.
Wairimu died of Cardiac arrest Muriithi told a local Media outlet, that as fate would have it, his sister suffered a cardiac arrest and died in pain while at Ajman in UAE.
Figuring out the challenges, the family of Selipha Wairimu Muthoni has been unable to raise enough funds to deport her remains to Kenya for a burial ceremony.

“We tried to seek help from the Embassy but they maintained that it is us who should take the responsibility,” Felix Muriithi said in a statement.
Also, Muriithi admits that as much as they are trying to raise funds, none of them is Truly sure how much is needed and the processes involved as well.
The process involves the Hospital and Morgue Bill which is still counting as long as the body continues lying there, the transportation of the body and clear it at both Airports before it is taken to her Final Resting Place in Kamacharia, Murang’a County.

Additionally, Felix Muriithi said that based on the People they have Communicated with regarding the matter, it is roughly calculated at Ksh 400,000 to do the deportation, and that does not include the Burial.
The family of Felix Muriithi is appealing to well-wishers and the Government of Kenya to jointly come on board and give in a helping hand to bring their Daughter home for a smart send-off.
