Lupita Nyong’o, who famously co-starred with Chadwick Boseman in the global box office smash ‘Black Panther’, paid tribute to the late Black Panther actor.
The 2014 BET Award winner for best actress used social media to commemorate the 46th birthday of late actor Chadwick Boseman with a memorable message.

Following Boseman’s death in 2020, the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts was established, and Lupita encouraged fans to donate to the late actor’s new charity in honour of the great work he did in the acting world.
“The legacy continues. Join me in honouring Chadwick and his everlasting artistry on his birthday today, and if you can, give to the Chadwick Boseman Foundation for the Arts to support the intellectual, spiritual, and artistic growth of Black storytellers,” she pleaded.
Chadwick Boseman is best known as Black Panther in Marvel’s successful superhero franchise.
According to a social media statement shared after his death, the actor died at home in Los Angeles, surrounded by his wife and family.
Boseman, 43, was diagnosed with colon cancer four years before his death but did not reveal the diagnosis.

The death of Boseman drew universal acclaim for him as a man and an actor. It did, however, confirm an unfortunate fact: black people are disproportionately diagnosed with colon cancer, a trend that has especially serious implications for Black men.

Among the well-known Black people who have been diagnosed with colon cancer are Herman Cain, who recently died from coronavirus complications, comedian Paul Mooney, singer Teddy Pendergrass, podcaster Combat Jack, and reality TV star Gregg Leakes.
