December is a month very many people look forward to. Part of it is because it is the last month of the year, so the excitement of winding it up is amazing.

Another reason is the fact that there is Christmas to look forward to.  There are many activities to do to celebrate; visiting family, going on vacations or bae-cations, and watching movies.

  • How to ruin Christmas (Netflix)

This is an amazing South African series, featuring a prodigal daughter Tumi who goes home after a long time and manages to ruin her sister’s wedding plans.

She must figure out how to make things right. The show features South Africa’s heavyweight stars; Busi Lurayi (Tumi), Thando Thabethe (Beauty), Vincent Mahlangu (Sbu), and Yonda Thomas (khaya).

  • Spirited (Apple TV+)

Ryan Reynold fans are going to love this one. This film is a modern retelling of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas carol, done in 1843.

The Ghost of Christmas Present is nearing retirement, which would mean a return to Earth.

He sets his sights on an “unredeemable” man, a man who may end up helping the Ghost come to terms with his past. Icing on the cake; it is a musical. Yay!

  • Guardians of the galaxy holiday special (Disney)

A product of the marvel studios, this film aligns with the guardians of the galaxy movie. The guardians, as the name suggests celebrate the Christmas holiday, all the while in pursuit to find their leader Peter Quill a Christmas present.

This film features, lady’s man Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillian, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Michaeal Rooker, all assuming their previous roles.

There is a special appearance from Kevin Bacon as a Fictionalized version of himself.

  • A Christmas prince: the royal wedding. (Netflix)

For all romantics, sit tight for this one. The film is the story of Amber, a young lovely lady who returns to Aldovia to plan her royal wedding with Richard after she helped him secure the crown a year before.

However, her simple tastes clash with the royal protocol. Star appearances are Rose McIver, Ben Lamb, Alice Krige, and Simon Dutton among others.
