Meru High Court has suspended an impeachment submission tabled by MCAs against Governor Kawira Mwangaza on Wednesday, November 30.
In a ruling session on Wednesday, Justice Wamae Cherere said that the Meru County Assembly did not follow a righteous direction in initiating the submission.
Justice Wamae Cherere on the other hand said that the County Assembly of Meru did not follow a head-to-head process in initiating the submission.
Governor Mwangaza moved to court last week seeking clarified orders to stop the County Assembly from debating her impeachment submission.
Through her Lawyer, Elias Mutuma Meru Governor argued that the Publication of the impeachment submission was called and signed by a stranger in the Assembly acting as the Clerk.

She further told the court that the Assembly proved to have a predetermined Mind-set on the Impeachment since 68 out of 69 MCAs had approved the submission.

At the Meru County Assembly, the impeachment submission was tabled by Abogeta West Member of County Assembly Dennis Kiogora, who also doubles as the Minority Chief Whip on November 21.
