‘One Mic, One Gun’ is the latest song by rap legend Nas, featuring 21 Savage who now seems to have adopted clout in his marketing strategy.
Two weeks ago, 21 Savage was in the spotlight for what many hip-hop fans saw as disrespect to one of hip-hop’s rap legends, Nas. 21 savage commented on Nas’ career status on Clubhouse, a popular social media platform designed for debates.
On November 4, Drake and 21 Savage released their joint album ‘Her Loss’. Nas then released his new album, King’s Disease III, on November 11. Before the release of ‘Her Loss’, Drake and 21 Savage faced a lawsuit by Vogue for using a fake cover to promote the album.
In a room titled “Is Nas the Greatest Rapper or What?” 21 Savage said, “He’s not relevant, he just has a loyal ass fan base…and he still make good-ass music.”
21 Savage later Tweeted in response to the backlash he received on social media. He had previously handed Nas his flowers, noting the quality of his music on the newly released album Hit-Boy, King’s Disease III., while on clubhouse.

In the newly released song, 21 Savage opens the track, “Ain’t no back and forth, ain’t no left or right/I got King’s Disease but I move like a knight.” He quickly references the controversial remarks with the line, “When you turn a legend, no such thing as relevance/They must’ve forgot that I’m a new rapper that got integrity,” later adding, “I ain’t goin’ against no legend n***a, I’m tryna be next in line”
