Being in a relationship is hard in itself. So you can imagine your partner calling it quits, barely three months into the relationship due to petty reasons.
There are so many things that make people dump their partners in a relationship. Some of these reasons are the pettiest reasons you have ever heard of. They include:
- Poor text game
More often than not, many guys’ English must have mastered the art of understatement when it comes to texting. He says ‘hae’ instead of ‘hi’ or ‘gudnyt’ instead of ‘goodnight’. It is quite ironic because he may be in his fourth year in campus yet, his texting matches top-tier illiteracy. Trust me, James, you will get dumped and end up lamenting that she is petty for no reason. The truth is, yes she is. (I don’t think you even deserve to graduate after texting like this)
- Bare minimum cleanliness
When she visits you in that bedsitter of yours and every day it is the same story. Dirty dishes for days on the sink, a ton of laundry on the floor, smelly shoes, you’d think a rat died in those. She will leave, no questions asked. So if you are there thinking that you got yourself a wife to take care of your mess think again.

- Your nails are still long James!
It is petty, I know. However, it comes close enough to the whole hygiene aspect. So if you keep those long nails, (kwanza the pinky fingernail) she starts to wonder whether you two are competing because she just got hers done, Cardi B style. Before you know it, you will wake up to that cliché text “I don’t think it’s working between us anymore. it’s not you, it’s me” then and only then are you left wondering what it is about her.
- Next to nothing skills in the bedroom
Most guys think that if you have the face card, or you have loaded pockets, then you can’t lose. My friend, that is just wishful thinking. If you cannot keep your ‘Principessa’ satisfied, just know that she will pack her bags and leave. If she doesn’t, she will get it from somewhere else but stick around because you are only as good as buying her lunch.

- Short men association
I say this with a straight face; the game is rigged for short guys. So if you belong in this club, get yourself money or compensate for your shortcomings by being funny. Otherwise, she will leave because she can’t bare looking at you from the same eye level.

Ultimately, so many people are becoming single because their partners left them for reasons so petty yet somewhat justified. So if that happened to you, stop sulking, wash your face and get back in the game, because again, people like what they like. Period!
