Mater Misericordiae Hospital invites the media to their Anniversary celebrations, taking place every end of September, as it marks 60 years since 1962.

Being a faith-based hospital, Mater hospital strives to maintain good governance and uphold the values of Christ-centeredness, Compassion, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.

The Hospital is celebrating 60 years since its establishment in 1962 on Friday 30th September 2022 from 10:00 am at the Mater Hospital Grounds.

This will be celebrated together with the Mercy Day Feast. The Feast commemorates the opening of the first House of Mercy by Catherine McAuley, the Foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, in Dublin-Ireland in 1827.

“This year’s celebration marks the 195th anniversary of Catherine McAuley’s legacy of compassionate care.”

“We shall also have the School of Nursing celebrating its 50th Anniversary and the Graduation of the scholars.” The statement noted.

The Guest of Honor will be His Grace Philip Anyolo, Archbishop of the Nairobi Archdiocese and Hospital Partners.
