A middle-aged woman of Nigeria residence has lost her life while pursuing her husband and side chick in a high-speed car chase.
According to Cross River State FRSC Sector Commander Maikano Hassan, the incident involving a Toyota Highlander occurred on the Muritala Mohammed Highway in Calabar on Sunday.
The tragedy claimed the life of the lone female driver who veered off the road into a ditch by the roadside.
“Though the woman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but she was said to have died few minutes later due to the injury sustained from the incident,” said Maikano Hassan.

According to reports, the woman was chasing after her husband, who was presumed to be in his car with a “side chick,” when she lost control of her vehicle, resulting in her death.
“Apparently the lady in this car crashed on a high speed chase; chasing her husband and his side chic after she spotted them shopping in Spar Calabar,” narrated a tweeter user by the name Mighty Mohamed.
Other reports also said that her husband “quickly dropped off the side chic and came back to help rescue her from the crash unconscious,” but she, unfortunately, lost her life while undergoing treatment.
