He also added that he got suspended by the company, as a result of his actions.

Cliff says he regrets making the video and that it was the result of his stupidity, and he apologizes to anyone who he may have been offended by it.

“My name is Cliff Onchiri, nataka kuapologise kwa video yenye inatrend kwa social media. Hiyo video nilifanya out of my stupidity nikiwa na uniform ya kazi,” he started.

He also accounts that the decision to make the video was his, and not the company’s.

“I did it as an individual, sikufanya like ninafanya kama transline. Lakini nataka kuapologise for our customers, especially our supporters. Sikuintend kuhurt mtu yeyote, so I’m very much sorry for what happened. May you find a place in your hearts to forgive me,” he added.

In the viral video that prompted him to apologize, Cliff shouted as he repeated mockery words aimed at Raila Odinga, who attempted but failed to secure the presidential seat for the fifth time.

“Amkeni ameshindwa tena!” he stressed.

The company issued an apology to the public after labeling the clip offensive, refraining from Cliff’s political choice, stating that it was an individual choice and not the company’s.

“Our attention has been drawn by a video clip going around the social media done by Cliff Onchiri a casual worker based at Afya center offices. As a company, we wish to disassociate ourselves from that clip and state that it was done by the individual’s will and does not in any way represent the views of the company,

“Disciplinary measures have been taken on the individual. We apologize to everybody, especially to our valued customers for the offending clip.
As a company we are in business and not in politics. We will continue to give the best services to all our customers,” read the statement.
