The firstborn daughter of former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, Saumu Mbuvi, has stated that she does not have a foundation.
Additionally, Saumu has clarified that she has no connection to the charity organization Sonko Rescue Team, which is connected to her father.
“There is nothing like Saumu Mbuvi foundation or neither am I involved with any Sonko rescue team activities, so be careful. So in case you see such quickly report that page,” Saumu said.
Additionally, she alerted her followers of the fake Facebook profiles under her name.
“I only have one Facebook page. I am rarely active there, that is why it’s attached to my Instagram. Whatever I post here is automatically posted there. All those fake pages I don’t know whom they belong to. So be warned of those cheap fraudsters and if you are one of those fraudsters we shall soon find you. And you won’t like how it ends,” she said.
During his time as governor, Mr. Sonko formed the Sonko Rescue Team. It employed hundreds of young people to clean up the city and improve the appearance of the streets and roadways.
The Sonko Rescue Team immediately took over the majority of the duties that was for the county employees after becoming the second Governor of Nairobi.
Saumu has previously spoken out against crooks using her name to create social media accounts. She alerted her followers to a bogus Instagram account in 2020, which she said was being run by one of her followers.

The internet scammers operating a variety of accounts on social media using Saumu’s father’s identity have also targeted Saumu’s father. The former governor’s wife gave a similar social media warning to her followers last year concerning the issue.
