Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga has pointed fingers to their political Competitors, Kwanza Kwanza, claiming that they used “divide and rule” tactic to manipulate Kenyans for their own political gain.
While presiding over an Azimio Parliamentary meeting in Machakos County on Friday, September 16, Odinga pointed out that their competitors hoodwinked the Azimio Parliamentary members as loophole to weaken their strength.
Odinga felt disheartened as he thought back to the Azimio Parliamentary meeting held on September 7 at the Masai Lodge, Nairobi.
Despite having a guild plan regarding the Parliamentary election, he lost the Senate and National Assembly Speaker and deputy speakers on the following day.
“Last week but one when met at Masai lodge, it was fairly on impromptu and the result of that you were not able to really show your strength the following day.”
“Our competitors were able to penetrate between our front and divide you in the so called divide and rule where they divide and you become weak for them to rule,” he said.
The former Prime Minister cautioned his Parliamentary members to stand firm and rigid to avoid the divide and rule tactic applied by the Kenya Kwanza government.
Odinga however added that it is applicable to control the Parliament once the faction controls the highest numbers in the opposition.
“If we do not bound and become united we are going to be ruled throughout the life of this Parliament.”
“If we have got the numbers, we will develop the strength to be able to be the rulers in the house,” he added.
Further,he said that they will be taking three course of action in the coming weeks.

These are rescuing the judiciary from state control, changing the IEBC to prepare it to deliver a credible election, and guarding the legislature against being a target for state capture.
Odinga accused the Executive arm of government saying that President Ruto’s action in appointing the six judges rejected by former President Uhuru Kenyatta was a motive plan to pocket the Judiciary which amount to bribery.
The six were Justices Aggrey Muchelule, George Odunga, Weldon Korir, Joel Ngugi, Makori Evans and Omange Judith Elizabeth.
“This is the reason for the rush to appoint six judges and allocate money to the Judiciary. I have fears about where CJ Koome’s ruling leaves our elections and democracy, now and in the future.”
“We have had the worst election since the return of multiparty politics in our country. At the presidential level, it is not possible to tell whether we had elections at all. At the lower levels, I believe a number of our people were rigged out to pave way for a UDA majority,” Raila said.
Following the Supreme Court verdict that upheld Ruto’s victory, Odinga denounced Chief Justice Martha Koome accusing that she subvert the will of people in favouring William Ruto.
“Today the Supreme Court is threatening those who petitioned the case before them. Chief Justice Martha Koome has also stopped Kenyans from discussing the judgement.”
“She went to her village to defend the verdict even before they released the full judgement. She said the ruling was inspired by God, I say It was inspired by the devil.”
“CJ Koome’s actions are clearly sycophantic, she has demeaned the dignity of the office of CJ. In less than a year, she has destroyed what her predecessors achieve in 10 years,” angry Raila slashed the Judiciary.
Additionally, the political enigma, Raila Odinga attacked Chief Justice Martha Koome and Justice Isaac Lenaola alleged that Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah had been recieving threats from the Judges regarding the petition he submitted in Court to challenge Ruto’s victory.
“We have also come from a Judiciary which invested in intimidation. Today Supreme Court is threatening those talking about the judgement.
“In fact, Justice Isaac Lenaola is publicly accused of threatening Senator Okiya Omtatah with ruination over his stand on the court judgement,” Raila alleged.
