Miguna Miguna received Greenlight, Passport to travel home

Miguna Miguna

Miguna Miguna is indeed a happy man as he awaits the end of his days in exile which could be any day from now after he was given his passport and left with a wait for the president to lift the red alerts against the lawyer.

The embattled vocal lawyer is renowned for his stance against corruption and terming perpetrators of the acts as despots who need to face the consequences of their actions.

The renewed hopes and conviction are vested in the promise Ruto made to ensure the lawyer can travel back home which is in Kenya way before he ascended to the top seat of power in Kenya.

“We will bring back Miguna Miguna in the country within the shortest time possible. He is a Kenyan and even if he has committed a crime, we have laws in place that he would be tried against,” the President affirmed.

This issuance of a new passport is key as it had been part of the reason for his barred return despite the court directive to Matiang’i and his Foreign Affairs counterpart, Raychelle Omamo, to issue him emergency travel documents at the Kenya High Commissions in Canada or Germany.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna went on Twitter showing the passport granted to him through the assistance of President Ruto, as he remarked on the wait for the president to lift the red alerts.

“1687 days after Uhuru, Raila, Matiang’i, Kibicho, and Kihalangwa conspired to seize and destroy my passport, Ruto delivered a new one to me. Waiting for the lifting of the red alerts. I didn’t have to sign the forms they were speaking about,” Miguna declared.

He ascertained to his supporters that his hard-fought return is coming and an end to the four years in exile is about to be a turnaround.
