Cabinet Secretary for Education George Magoha claims he is not looking for a job but is willing to work if President-Elect William Ruto chooses him.
During the commissioning of Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms at Karen “C” Girls Secondary School, Magoha stressed that his actions should not be taken out of context as a desire to be absorbed into President-elect William Ruto’s government.
“I am not looking for a job, you can take that to the bank. Nobody should mistake me that I am completing this work in order to be seen that I want this job,
“If in his wisdom the president-elect thought that I could even be half worthy to be considered, we will have a conversation with him because I have now connected with the children, the poor children,” he expressed.

He went on to say that if it is God’s will for him to work alongside Ruto, he will acknowledge and respond positively.
“If we are thinking in the same direction and he gives me the support that I require, which means that I do things the way he wants and not any other person if it is God’s will I will say yes,” he added.
He then continued by justifying the ongoing construction of CBC classrooms, saying,
“CBC is not a money guzzler, you just must make sure that you get the value for money. It is not going to be easy for government officers to get value for money because they have a culture of doing things in a particular manner.”
His remarks come in the wake of perceived conflict between him and Ruto during the August election campaign.
After his inauguration on Tuesday, September 13 at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, President-elect William Ruto is expected to name his Cabinet.
