Newly elected Bomet Women representative Linet Chepkorir alias Toto, who is a Business Administration graduate from Chuka University, previously worked as a housemaid before venturing into politics.
During a meeting with other young politicians, the 24-year-old discussed her path to politics, including the low-wage jobs she worked after graduating.
She immediately became a hawker and a chips vendor to make ends meet as a graduate, where she used to earn less than Ksh 250 daily.
“I graduated last year in procurement. I started selling clothes in Bomet where I was employed by someone there. I left that and started selling chips in a certain hotel. I used to earn 200 bobs per day,” narrated Linet as reported by a local media house.
