Saumu Mbuvi is jubilant following Anwar Loitiptip’s defeat in his attempt to become Lamu Senator.
Saumu Mbuvi took to her Instagram to call for celebrations after learning that Loitiptip had lost the Lamu seat.
“Congratulations to the new Lamu Senator and Women Rep. Mko wapi tuanze kusherekea,” Saumu wrote on Instagram.
The Jubilee party’s Joseph Githuku defeated six other contenders to win the seat, defeating Loitiptip who was competing as an independent candidate.
Earlier, Loitiptip tried to retain his seat on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket but fell short to Francis Mugo Kariuki in the party primary.
Mbuvi was unable to contain her joy when she heard that Joseph Githuku of the Jubilee Party had defeated her baby daddy in the Lamu senatorial race,

In 2019, Saumu and Loitiptip crossed paths in Mombasa, where the latter was on vacation and the former was there for business.
On March 8, 2020, the couple welcomed a baby girl into the world.
On February 15, 2022, Saumu declared her breakup with Loitiptip after accusing him of viciously beating her.
On the other hand, Singer Wilson Abubakar Radido alias Willy Paul has congratulated Mathare MP-elect Antony Oluoch.
Oluoch was recognized by Willy Paul as the candidate to represent the citizens of Mathare in parliament in the message that was uploaded on Instagram.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate two of my good friends. First, congratulations to the one Antony Oluoch for Winning the MATHARE MP SEAT. You are what the people of MATHARE need sir,” he wrote.
Revealing that he was born and raised in Mathare, Willy Paul applauded the MP-elect adding that he is glad that Mathare is in safe hands.
“You must have really done a good job sir…retaining that seat is not easy! Keep pushing, MATHARE is my home and I’m glad it’s in Safe hands again,” he said.
