DP Ruto however claimed that if he succeeded the incumbent President and takes to the State House after the polls, his administration will run without including the opposing party to participate in his government issue; a disguised statement referring to the March 2018 handshake between President Kenyatta and Odinga.
“Lakini mambo ambayo sitafanya ni yale yalifanyika miaka mitano iliyopita, mambo ya kuchanganya upinzani na serikali na kutengeneza kitu ambayo Wakenya hawaijui ya kuhujumu katiba ya Kenya, hiyo mimi sitafanya,” he said.
The DP likewise went ahead and hit back at some of his attackers who pushed him out of the presidential race prematurely before the election period, saying he had made it this far because a higher power wanted him to do so.
“Mimi nasimama mbele yenu nikimshukuru Mungu kwa sababu mimi kufika hapa leo ni kwa sababu ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Walisema hatutakuwa kwa ballot lakini tuko kwa ballot. Si Mungu ni wa ajabu?” Posed the Kenya Kwanza frontman.
