The Roots Party Deputy Presidential candidate Justina Wamae has finally offered her opinion about the August 9 elections and the outcome announced by the electoral commission’s chairman Wafula Chebukati.
Justina wamae has faulted the arguments from various quotas that hint at IEBC having failed to uphold the elections freely and fairly with transparency.
Saying that bashing institutions are not the answer to dealing with such allegations as they lead to mistrust of the bodies among the people.
Insisting that the election was transparent since there was no polling station agent who raised a concern of any misconduct while they are the supreme actors in the process.
“The Returning Officer in the constituency level would have been alarmed and mark you the national tallying center had no power in determining the outcome of the 2022 Presidential election,” she said.
Expressing one of the main reasons in her opinion that saw her party fail was the disorganization of the polling agents in action.
She further commended the Roots Party supporters for having turned up to exercise their rights with voters up to 61,969 who expressed a conviction in their manifesto.
As well as offering her congratulatory message that she termed belated for the president-elect William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
“Congratulations H.E Ruto and H.E Rigathi on your victory. As the representative of the Kenyan youth, I will support in any way I can to achieve a financially secure Kenya that is dignified across the globe. God bless you and your families as you undertake your new responsibility,” said Wamae.
