Opaque Ashikwe!- Stresses Homa Bay women claiming involvement of “opaque” in Raila’s defeat

Opaque Ashikwe!- Stresses Homa Bay woman

Two Homa Bay women have left many in stitches after calling for the immediate arrest of “opaque,” who they claimed was responsible for Raila Odinga’s defeat in the presidential election.

Casting their requests through Lolwe TV, the women assert that the 2022 General Elections were irregular as a result of “opaque.”

The two women became more amusing as they continued to list potential charges against “opaque,” claiming that he or she should be arrested for accepting bribes to rig the presidential election results.

Now pointing fingers at the Chairperson of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Wafula Chepukati, the two anonymous women believe he and opaque should be imprisoned together.

“Opaque ako na makosa…Si ye ndio aliambia Chebukati atangaze hiyo kitu ya uongo. Tuko na chuki na yeye sana,” remarked the woman.

The term “opaque” became popular after IEBC vice chairperson Juliana Cherera used it to invalidate the presidential election results announced by Chebukati at the Bomas of Kenya.

She, together with the other three IEBC commissioners stated that they did not want to be a part of the results that declared William Ruto president-elect, given the “opaque nature of the final phase”.

In a similar post, a humorous video of a woman from Homa Bay imploring or rather scolding the Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Wafula Chebukati, in 2017 is trending again following the prolonged ongoing tallying of the Presidential Election.

In 2017, Adhiambo had Kenyans laughing after Chebukati called for a repeat poll the day after the previous General Election, in which President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner.

“Sasa Chebukati. Hapana jaribu! Tafadhali! Tafadhali! Hapana jaribu Kenya,” she cautioned the IEBC boss.

Residents of Homa Bay expressed their dissatisfaction with the IEBC results, with Adhiambo stressing “hapana jaribu” and stating that she would not vote again.
