Govi, a former Machachari actor, claims he has mostly experienced heartbreak in the majority of his relationships.
Govi said he keeps his personal life private because he doesn’t want it to interfere with his professional life.
In an interview with Buzz Central, Govi disclosed that he had only ever been in two serious relationships.
Govi, on the other hand, claimed to have been in a number of “situationships” that didn’t end well.
Govi dated his first girlfriend, his high school sweetheart, who abandoned him after high school. He was 18 at the time.
“I take dating very seriously but I have been in many situationships. My first time dating I was 18 years, she was my high school sweetheart but when we finished high school everything changed and she left me,” he said.
In addition, Govi said he has never dumped a girl in any of the other relationships he has been in.
“It really means a lot to me to love someone. I tried to make it work but she didn’t want to, maybe because of my celebrity status,” he said.
Govi was in a previous relationship two years earlier where the girl ultimately betrayed him by having an affair with another man.
“Then I met my ex in 2020 but it was not a good experience, it was good while it lasted. I felt it was disrespectful, we were many and I was a simp to her. Even if she did anything I was okay with it,” he said.
“I’m into older girls which means a year or a day older not wamama.”
Govi claimed he keeps his personal life private because he doesn’t want it to interfere with his professional life.
His family is extremely relaxed, which is another plus.
“I am a man who comes from a laid-back family with no drama. To top it all, on my mum’s side of the family, we have ministers and pastors,” he said.
“My dad is a Muslim but they are also spiritual. I also realized if I was to post it will no longer be about my projects and work and guys will not go watch my productions, it will be about ‘Malik Girlfriend’.
I also don’t want to subject someone’s daughter to that, they’re some girls who just want you for you.”
