“The only way to outline verification of voters is first to undertake biometric verification. If the biometric system fails, we shall go for an alphanumeric search of the details which involves the Identification numbers IDs to procure voters’ details,” Chebukati said.Chebukati further stated that the physical register will take the course only if the duo process fails to wangle the required technicalities as far as the August 4, 2017 law amendment regarding election credibility is concerned.Following the Kenya Kwanza allegations that almost 1 million voters from their political boot camps get transferred to anonymous stations, the IEBC chair dismissed the claims and stated to have no idea how the faction get the information. He said that whoever is concerned with the information is Deputy President William Ruto who raised the accusation.“I don’t know how the Kenya Kwanza team knew there is a transfer of voters which I think the question should be appropriately answered by the Dp William Ruto who came up with the statement,” he added.Regarding the transmission of authentical results to the outlined tallying centers, the CEO of IEBC Marjan Hussein Marjan noted that there will be no manipulation of results in the name of using unauthorized SD cards from cybercriminals. “Our IEBC SD cards are encrypted and the information cannot leak or be exploited elsewhere. To be able to use the SD card you need to use the QR code for that particular polling station to be able to lock it. You can not come with your SD card from River Road expecting to tamper with our operations. It will not work,” Marjan explained. With due diligence, the electoral agency proclaimed to provide transparency, credible and fair results come the August 9 election. The IEBC affirmed to have set the record straight on the level of preparedness.
