Consumers in Kenya will now have a chance to verify products they purchase via a new technology App launched by a tech firm KEKA Precision Technologies.
The authentic App is available on Google’s Playstore and Applestore.
It enables customers to scan a label on the product using the product they intend to purchase to find out its authenticity.
According to KEKA- Precision Technologies, CEO, Ken Kagota the app will empower consumers to purchase legit products in the market.
“I out of 3 products in the Kenyan market are fake yet consumers do not have enough empowerment to authenticate products. Our app will empower them to differentiate legit from fake products in the market,” he said.
According to Kagota, the app will help the government and private sector fight counterfeits.
This App can also help manufacturers locate their stolen merchandise.
