Wajackoyah reveals private details of meeting with Ruto and his wife Rachel

Roots Party Presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has spilled the beans regarding a secret meeting held with Deputy President, William Ruto, and his wife Rachel. In an interview with NTV, Wajackoyah said he met with the DP in the Intercontinental hotel for lunch, when Ruto was facing charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to the Roots Party boss, the meeting convened by Ruto was concerning legal representation at the ICC.

Wajackoyah however stated that he never had a chance to represent the DP at the Hague at the time, claiming that he was engaged in his own affairs.

At the same time, Wajackoyah responded to the comment he made while campaigning in Kisumu, when he said a win for Raila Odinga was eventually a win for him and the Western region and contrariwise.

He however informed NTV media that campaigning in Kondele, Kisumu County on June 27, 2022, wasn’t mean that he is throwing allegiance to Azimio La Umoja Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga but rather, he was trying to neutralize the crowd to avoid chaos since the region is Raila’s bedrock.

“When you saw me sleeping in the car in Kisumu, I was talking to Raila in a dream, and he told me he’s pushing me to be the president,” Wajackoyah stated.

The Roots Party presidential candidate also spoke on allegations of being bribed. He revealed that a woman was sent to lure him out of the race but declined the offer.

Wajackoyah claimed that the woman was sent to deliver KSh 200 million to him urging him to drop his bid and support another Presidential candidate.

“Recently they came to my place and said to Wajackoyah, why don’t we just pay him KSh 200 million so that he can drop his bid,” Wajackoyah revealed.

“I looked at them and told them that I am the most learned man in Africa and I cannot be compromised. I have worked in higher places like the United Kingdom and I cannot betray the trust of the people,” he added.
